Face­book has sky­rock­eted to suc­cess. It has be­come so pop­u­lar to­day that you will surely be miss­ing a lot if you do not use it for es­tab­lish­ing your on­line pres­ence and pro­mot­ing your busi­ness. Now, one thing you must know when it comes to Face­book, though, is the fact that you must set up both a per­sonal pro­file and a fan page if you want to achieve op­ti­mum results.

Get­ting Face­book Fans

When it comes to us­ing Face­book to pro­mote your in­ter­net busi­ness, it is al­most al­ways a good idea to have both a business/personal pro­file and a fan page. Do­ing this gives you a great deal of ver­sa­til­ity when it comes to re­cruit­ing new fans as well as pro­vide you with op­tions for col­lect­ing valu­able con­sumer data.

As ear­lier men­tioned, it is best to have both a per­sonal pro­file and a busi­ness fan page. That is why af­ter your prospects ac­cept your friend re­quest, you can start invit­ing them to join your fan page. Re­mem­ber, though, that at this stage, a lot may ig­nore or re­ject your of­fer. Nev­er­the­less, some will join and this will add to your fan base.

To make sure that your in­vi­ta­tion ap­pears friendly and not spammy, how­ever, re­mem­ber not to send in­vites mul­ti­ple times. For in­stance, each time you add a friend, do not sug­gest that they add other peo­ple that you know. Also, do not ask them to join the fan page mul­ti­ple times.
